PowerChange Cycle
OTI’s hands-on PowerChange is often called the “Kaizen week”. The PowerChange is designed to internalize the knowledge learned through OTI’s Lean Education & Awareness and OTI’s Tools & Techniques by practicing implementation of the change.
A 5 day PowerChange is about:
- understanding the spirit of Lean improvement
- creating a Lean vision for the targeted process
- implementing the vision…build a cell, implement a pull system, create Standard Work
- developing measures of success to sustain the vision
OTI’s PowerChange is designed for those who want to go beyond a single Lean event and become self-sufficient in Lean; or those who want to build a business model for a product line or business unit.
We are now into our second PowerChange Event. The first event redesigned the manufacturing floor into a cellular flow layout; while the current event is designing and installing a closed loop Kan Ban material pull system for one of the value streams.
